01 / Overview

WordPress plugins tailored to real production needs — not to theoretical feature checklists.

Every plugin I've published or built for a client started as a problem I couldn't solve with existing tools. Google Business Reviews exists because every review solution I tried either cost too much, violated Google's Terms of Service, or broke after a WordPress update. I built mine, released it as open source, and today it runs on dozens of websites.

Custom plugin development follows the same logic: you have a concrete need — a QR scan tracker for five restaurants, a valuation tool connected to a live MLS API, a booking flow that fits exactly your process — and no off-the-shelf plugin does exactly that. I build it properly: clean PHP, WordPress coding standards, no bloat, with documentation.

All free plugins are GPL2 licensed and available on WordPress.org. Custom plugins are yours — the code belongs to you, with no license dependency.

How a custom plugin is built

From specification to deployment.
01

Specification and quote

You explain what the plugin needs to do. I write a short functional specification and send you a fixed quote. No hourly billing, no scope surprises.

02

Development

Built according to WordPress coding standards. PHP, MySQL, REST API or AJAX as needed. No unnecessary dependencies. Clean and documented code.

03

Testing

Tested in a staging environment against your exact WordPress version, your theme and your plugin stack. Edge cases documented.

04

Deployment and documentation

Installed in production and verified. You receive a document in plain language explaining what it does, how to configure it and what to do if something breaks.

07 / Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers. If yours is not here, send a message — I reply within one business day.
How much does a custom WordPress plugin cost?
Simple plugins (a custom shortcode, a small API integration) start at 200–400 €. Complex plugins with an admin interface, multiple REST endpoints and third-party integrations usually cost 600–1.500 €. Budget per project, not per hour.
Who owns the code after development?
You do. All custom plugins are licensed under GPL2 and the code belongs to you. No SaaS dependency, no monthly licensing fee, no reliance on me for it to keep working.
Can you modify an existing plugin?
Yes, if it has a GPL2 license (like most WordPress plugins). I can extend, fix or customize existing plugins without touching the main file — using hooks, filters and a small companion plugin so updates don't overwrite your changes.
Do the free plugins work with the latest WordPress version?
Yes. All published plugins are tested against current WordPress and PHP versions before each release. You can install them from WordPress.org and update them through WordPress's standard update system.
Can you build a plugin that connects to an external API?
Yes — it's most of what I build. Resales Online MLS, Google Places, Stripe, TuriTop and several proprietary client APIs. I handle authentication, request limits, caching and error management.
