MF MCP Connector is a Claude MCP plugin for WordPress of my own development. It turns any WordPress website into an MCP server (Model Context Protocol) and allows connecting Claude with WordPress as a custom connector. From a chat, Claude queries and edits posts, pages, media, categories, custom fields, comments and website settings, without intermediate servers or Node.js: everything works within WordPress itself, through its REST API.
What Claude can do in your WordPress
The plugin offers Claude 26 tools: the same tasks you'd do from the WordPress dashboard, but asking for them in your own words.
- Content: search, create, edit and delete posts, pages and custom content types (portfolio, products, accommodations…).
- SEO: review and change titles, excerpts, slugs, custom fields and metadata from Yoast or Rank Math in bulk.
- Media: upload images from a URL, change alt text and assign the featured image.
- Categories and tags: create terms and organize content.
- Comments, users and site: moderate comments, check users, installed plugins, version and settings.
How to connect Claude with WordPress
- Install and activate the plugin in WordPress (WordPress 5.6 or higher, PHP 7.4 or higher).
- In Settings → MCP Claude, copy the connector URL.
- In claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL and save. It also works with Claude Code and other MCP clients compatible with Streamable HTTP.

- Access URL with a 40-character key that can be regenerated anytime.
- Claude acts as the administrator you choose, so WordPress permissions are respected and every change is recorded under their name.
- Read-only mode with one click: Claude can view your site but cannot modify it.
- Options containing keys or passwords are blocked.
- Log of recent calls and attempts with an incorrect key.
